A day in the life...

A lovely lady named Evelyn (who adopted two sweet boys when my sister adopted her daughter) did a photo montage of one day out of her life in March. Last year there were no children and this year Ta-Da two! This is my day in photos; I think I'll try to document one full day every couple of months just so I can see where we are at....
The day really began at about 5am when Jude came into bed with me to nurse, but I wasn't awake enough to ask hubby to photo it. This shot is at about 7 when Joe joined us....
8 o'clock hour- I keep the boys in a snugglefest until about 8 every morning.... Breakfast is on the stove and Curious George is on the T.V. We had oatmeal and strawberries in case you were wondering....
9 oclock hour- PLAYTIME!!! Jude is behind that bucket "playing" with train tracks, while Joe and I try to fix the goal. I think we gave up at about 9:10 and Joe started using it as a didgredoo.
10 oclock hour- there was a shower, but you don't need to see that! A walk to the train, a wait for the train and a train ride.

11 o'clock hour: At the Aquarium. Spending forever looking at the salt marsh tank. FOREVER.
oh what's in the backpack you ask? Everything from diapers for jude to Percy the train to a juice box and some pretzels....
The above technically spans the 11 and 12 oclock hours- The sealion show is at 11:30 daily. This is Osbourne and his trainer Gunner. And no I wasn't zooming in.
12 o'clock hour: the walk back to the train. We took the scenic route via the Boardwalk.
1 o'clock hour- home and lunch. Peanut butter and Jelly for me and Joe, Sweet potato mash for Jude.2 o'clock hour: Almost nap time. We read stories after lunch. Today Joe decided he was going to read Jude to sleep. Didn't quite work out....
3 o'clock hour: Sweet Blessed Nap time. A cuppa tea, some monkey bread and a book for momma.
4 o'clock hour: Joe still asleep and Jude is pretending he is really awake. We play for about an hour waiting for Joe to get up, it is really the only alone time I get most days with him.
5 o'clock hour: Daddy's Home!! Joe is awake (he took this picture), dinner is getting started. It is a kind of throw together dinner of hot dogs, burgers and carrots and broccoli.

6 o'clock hour. DINNERTIME! same as when I was a kid we eat just about at 6 every night.
7 o'clock The bedtime stuff starts. We don't do baths every night, but since we were seeing Nanny (my mom) the next day, I thought the boys should be clean. This was Jude's first real tub bath. This was followed by roughly 7 hundred books read to Joe, the Pajama Time song sang 4 times, the little fish song sang 3 times and a nose kiss, an eye kiss, a BIIIIG kiss and an ear kiss...and about 3 hours of Joe sneaking back into the living room....

8 o'clock hour. Ahh alone at last..."Joe get back to bed!" This photo is the hubby saying "Don't take a picture of me if I fall asleep on the couch."
the 9 o'clock hour was full of pausing LOST to put Joe back into his bed. The 10 o'clock hour was full of bedtime for the grownups......
So that's a day in our life, it's not exactly a swinging social scene...

What a fun day in photos, Regina! I really enjoyed seeing what a seasoned veteran mother of two boys looks like :) Glad you participated. I think I will do this every year, too, just to document this speeding by life!

I love this! I should do one too... my average day is pretty similar minus the tiny one...
